No I haven't gone and got our Christmas decorations out already!
This morning I popped into the charity shop where I used to volunteer and bought this lovely little lot of paper honeycombe decorations for 20p each.
They are from 1980 and 1979 according to the info printed on them but they have a real vintage look about them.
Father Christmas certainly looks as though something has taken him by surprise!
Oh Lisa WHAT A FIND! I love them!! Fantastic price goodness me :), I just cannot resist any vintage or retro decorations when I see them in charity shops & the like, I have a vast collection now of vintage 1930's - 1960's glass baubles and decs for our large tree in the living room, its taken me many years to collect them all and for such great prices, and Mia has a "retro" tree in her room with some 70's & 80's balls & lights - we've had some great fun finding those out and choosing them, every year we add something else :)..funny enough i've beent thinking about my xmas decorations today and where they will go in the new house! :)
ReplyDeleteI love them too! What a marvellous find and for 20p each - an absolute bargain!

Fantastic finds and in a very good condition too, considering they're made of paper! Well done you, Queen of bargains! :)

They are great, the 80s are considered vintage now or so I am told.
ReplyDeleteGreat find, and what a bargain. They've survived in perfect condition.
ReplyDeleteThey're lovely, especially the snowman! x
ReplyDeleteThey are such fun... no wonder you snapped them up !
ReplyDeleteWe used to have honeycomb decorations back in the 1970's when I was young. I think I remember a bell. Well done on spotting such a bargain! They look really cool too!!!x
ReplyDeleteThey are just fab..I just adore the snowman. What a great find..they will look so cute this Christmas (the way time flies by..it won't be long off!).

I love them! They all look so jolly. x
ReplyDeleteSo glad when I read your first sentence - thought for a minute when I saw the pics that you'd decorated the house already! There was a lady at the car boot sale this morning selling LOADS of vintage Christmas stuff - all from her mother's loft apparently. Managed to restrain myself, as I already have FAR more Christmas decs than I need! xx
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute! I wouldn't have been able to resist them either!
