What is the plural of T A R D I S

Is it TARDI?
Or is it TARDIS'es?
Or something else?

Which ever it is T has one of them and they are now (relatively!) dust free and are  sitting on top of a dust free wardrobe as part of my on going Spring cleaning.

I wonder if the Doctor would like to pop round and inspect me them?

  1. I gave my Dr. Who loving daughter tardis earrings for Christmas.
    Maybe the plural is Tardi.

  2. That is a very good question, Lisa. I would say it was tardises and that is one fine collection. Shame they're a bit, dare I say, samey but fine nevertheless. I've never been a fan of Dr Who. I really don't like David Tenant (his starey eyes scare me) and this latest doctor looks like a child to me. OMG, I'm sounding like some old bag. Maybe it's because I am.....xx

  3. If the Doctor was still David Tennant then yes I'd like a visit too - Matt Smith is cute but not quite my type ;)

  4. TARDI I reckon. Perhaps he makes house calls occasionally?!

  5. I could have added to his collection had I known. Both Daniel and Eleanor used to collect cards which were stored in a Tardis. One of the many things they've since outgrown, and the Tardi, Tardis, Tardises, whatever they are, have been taken to the charity shop.

  9. Ooh that's a question, sounds like it should be Tardi? I still remember what it stands for, one of those useless bits of information that stays in your head for 40 years - only useful for a pub quiz!! And The Doctor popping round, depends which one!

  14. This made me laugh!! I have no idea. But I would like to know what the collective noun is for tardises/tardi, you know, like "a pride of lions" or "a murder of crows". Maybe T could invent one?
