Eiffel Day

Today is Eiffel Tower Day. The day marks he completion of the tower in 1889.
So now you know, what will you do to mark the occasion? Wear an outfit which has a dash of French chic about it, cook coq au vin for tea or croissants for breakfast, maybe even book a trip to Paris ?
Me, I think I'll watch the Maigret episode I recorded on Sunday evening and maybe indulge in eating an eclair.

  1. Eating eclairs sounds good, plus it would've been my Nan's Birthday today and eclairs were both our favourite cakes, I used to take them when visiting her.

  2. Hmmm, I could go with eat an eclair, in fact I think that's a great way to celebrate any occasion.

  4. Well, thanks for the point in history. When I got to see the tower, it was raining the entire weekend, so not as pretty as it could be.

I didn't know it was 'Eiffel Day' and although I have travelled to France, I have not been to Paris!

Hope your new job is going well

  10. You know how to live it up Lisa! A Pain au chocolat would be nice but as I have given up sweet things I will have to leave that to memory. I have visited Paris but never been inside the Eiffel tower. x
