Thrifty Thursday

I think we should gloss over the fact I've been awake since 5.30am because that cute cat from yesterday's post managed to knock over a folded up clothes airer which clattered with an almighty noise as it landed and just concentrate on this weeks thrifty finds.

I'm not sure howold this set of unopened paper plates are but the label does say made in W. Germany. Can I bring myself to use them this Christmas?

Now if there's one thing we aren't short of here it's mugs so Question: why did I buy 2 more? Answer: they are completely dotty, ginghamy and heart decoratedly gorgeous that's why.

  1. Brilliant finds :)

Guess those plates are a few years old - can't remember when the wall came down but it must be over 20 years ago?

  2. Who can blame you! The paper plates sound like they have a bit of a history. xxxxx

  3. Those plates are gorgeous! Love the mug too. x

  4. You can never have too many mugs! That's what I tell myself, anyway!

I absolutely love the plates - what a great find!

  5. We too have a kitchen full of mugs, very few of which we bought ourselves! Love the plates...

  6. That mug is lovely - it would look fab in my kitchen....

Naughty cat - send him to me....!

  7. How cute are those paper plates!

  8. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who wakes up early. It is a magical time; trouble is by now - 9.45pm I'm ready for bed. LLX
